AEMail is an Internet Mail User Agent (Client) which can be used to send and retrieve mail over the Internet. It connects to the Internet to retrieve mail from a POP3 Server and sends mail through a SMTP server. To connect to the Internet, AEMail does require a TCP/IP stack such as Miami, TermiteTCP, or AmiTCP, or any stack that is compatible with AmiTCP. AEMail can run on any version of AmigaDOS 2.1 or later. Other than the TCP/IP stack, AEMail requires no additional programs that do not come with a standard equipped Amiga. AEMail contains the following features: . Does not require support software such as MUI for the display; although it does use ClassAct Boopsi classes which are included with the release. Has a colorful command icon strip which allows you to perform basic functions with a click of your mouse button. An informational display gives a description of each icon as you pass the mouse over the icon. Built in POP3 and SMTP protocols. No additional programs to add or configure. · Can run in both an offline and online mode. The offline mode allows you to compose messages while not connected to your Internet Service Provider (ISP) to save expensive online charges. Will automatically call your TCP/IP software when you want to connect to or disconnect from your ISP (AmiTCP or Miami only). · Supports both MIME and UU-Encoded attachments without additional programs to decode or encode the attachments. Extensive ARexx Support · Supports unlimited folders for storing messages. · Incoming messages can be directed to specific folders based on information in any header or the body of the message. These "filters" can be defined with simple "AND" and "OR" relationships. Wild card selection can be used in defining the filter criteria and, if preferred, case can be ignored. Messages can be copied or transferred between folders. Individual messages or groups of messages can be saved to external files. Messages from external files can be imported into AEMail in the same manner as messages from the Internet. Supports a comprehensive address book that can store both individual addresses and groups of addresses. Printer support is provided for printing messages, message lists, and address book contents. Full clipboard support is provided with provision for storing and retrieving from multiple clipboard units. AEMail can also be used as a "mailto" agent in WWW browsers, such as IBrowse, Voyager or AWeb, which allow the user to specify such an agent for composing and sending email. You can also call AEMail with an already composed message from another program and queue or send the message. Multiple configurations can be set up for multiple email users. Mail files can be password protected for different users. Multiple signature files can be used. Extensive HELP system View message list on POP Server - and more!
